You can't help but go among mad people. We're all mad here. I'm mad, you're mad. You must be mad, or you wouldn't have come here.

Everything Alice

Lewis Carroll, the author of the Alice books and poems, is a pivotal player in my obsession (maybe that's the wrong word to use. How about... enthusiasm? No, that's too positive. Fascination? Sure.) with the connection between text and teach.

Had everything Alice been written by anyone else, I'd be disinterested. Carroll is an extraordinarily fascinating human.
My obsession with Alice was the subsequent result of my obsession with Carroll. I wouldn't care a bit for the stories and their deeper meanings if I didn't think that Carroll was more than just an author.
